About the analysis and its limits
The main sample contains 147 consecutive, complete 18-hole setups sharing the same recorded six-rule configuration. The adjacency card describes planning rules, not a measured compliance rate. This analysis measured repeated zone IDs; it did not measure how often the three-day adjacency preference was met or isolate the rules’ effect on layout variety. The earlier six-zone rotation is historical context supplied by the course; it was not measured as a comparison sample.
Across all 10,731 pairs of dates, only eight pairs shared nine or more of their 18 pin zones. All nine previous-week repeats involved an earlier draft. Restricting the seven-day comparison to pairs of published sheets yields zero repeats in 2,358 hole comparisons across 131 pairs. Publication status in this development sample does not establish that a setup was played.
A pattern to improve: dates 28 days apart shared an average of 5.4 of 18 zones, compared with 2.1 across all pairs of dates. This observed repeat pattern supports describing the results as controlled, rule-driven variety, rather than statistical randomness. No cause was established.
The full saved history from May 9, 2026 through March 27, 2027 contains 308 non-voided daily setups and 5,544 placements, with no repeated full layouts. Two voided records were excluded. Older history includes different configurations and missing days, so the headline results use the consistent 147-day sample.
Validation checked complete sheets, distinct holes, dates, and count reconciliation. Independent SQL comparisons confirmed every measured day interval, all pairs of dates, and the unique full setups. Results describe the September 27 snapshot; rerunning the analysis against changing development data may produce different results.
